Blues are SET up now to succeed...

FIRST the famine, then the feast as Birmingham City, shot-shy in so many matches this season, gorged themselves on a smorgasbord of goal-scoring opportunities.

For the lovers of XG out there, Blues recorded an expected goals total of 2.93. At Bristol City it was 0.6 and at Preston it was 0.83. Anyway enough of that.

You don't need to be a statistician to see that Blues could have won this game by six goals and no-one could have quibbled.

After the grumbles of Ashton Gate, the jeers were replaced by cheers and all of a sudden Blues are 11th and looking up at the playoffs again.

Paik Seung-ho's second of the season, Tomoki Iwata and Christoph Klarer‘s first - and a late cake-topper from Keshi Anderson sent everyone home happy.

Here's what stood out on a bright, autumnal day at St Andrew's.

Plunder not blunder
