Awards honour Midlands' most inspiring and brave heroes

DOZENS of the most inspiring and outstanding citizens in the West Midlands have been honoured.
Winner 14-year-old Layla Warren
Members of the community came together for a night of glitz and community spirit at the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner's Outstanding Citizens' Awards a timely reminder of positivity among all the challenges facing the community.
A lifesaving teenager, courageous relatives of knife crime victims, volunteer first responders and women battling exploitation and abuse were all honoured at the PCC awards, at the Brasshouse Community Centre in Smethwick on Monday night.
