Amateur golf player hits a hole-in-one twice in round

CHAMP BEATS ODDS OF 67M TO ONE

AN amateur Midland golfer achieved the seemingly impossible after bagging two hole-in-ones in the same round - beating odds of 67,000,000/1.

Gavin Bourne, 47, hit two perfect tee shots during a 36-hole final at Droitwich Golf Club.

Battling fellow golfer Tom Ainge to be crowned champion, Gavin slotted his first ace on the third hole.

He aimed his 6-iron from 175 yards and belted a shot which landed on the green - but to his amazement rolled into the hole.

Then, just 12 holes later, the hit another perfect shot - using his 5-iron to strike a clean ball from 187 yards on the 15th.
