GUARDIAN TASKFORCE TEAM SEIZED MORE THAN 1,400 ITEMS IN SEARCHES

A SPECIALIST police team in the West Midlands tasked with tackling knife crime and youth violence has seized hundreds of weapons and made hundreds of arrests in 2025.
The Guardian Taskforce has carried out almost 5,000 stop and searches (4,660), a fifth of the force's total, seizing more than 180 knives and making more than 500 arrests after those searches.
