Elliott Frear has departed Bath City after nearly four years at the club.

- Mark Stillman

The winger has not been offered a new deal for the 2024/25 season, having joined in the summer of 2021 following his release from Heart of Midlothian.

Frear made the final of his 171 appearances as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Aveley.

"I look back on this part of my career with fond memories," said Frear, who spoke shortly after the final match of the season.

"I’ve really enjoyed my time here.

"[There are] mixed emotions. It’s been an amazing journey, a lot of highs and lows as every footballer goes through.

"I made a speech in the changing room after the game, it was a bit emotional.

"I'd like to say thanks to Jerry [Gill] for bringing me to the club and all the assistants who have been here during my time.

"It’s been a happy four years. All good things have to come to an end."

Frear highlighted the home win over Torquay United last season as his favourite moment in a Bath City shirt.

His winning goal, the last he scored in the league at Twerton Park, effectively confirmed a play-off spot.

"My girls were in the crowd with my wife, said Frear.

"I managed to celebrate in front of them, my girls still talk about that now.
