Two Thai tennis players Lanlana Tararudee and Mananchaya Sawangkaew will play in the women’s singles main draw of the Australian Open, the season-opening Gland Slam tournament, in Melbourne.

Lanlana defeated Austria’s Lilli Tagger 6-3, 6-0 in the final qualifying round yesterday to reach the main draw competition of a Grand Slam event for the first time in her career.
