Skubal fans 10 as Detroit get better of Philadelphia

Tarik Skubal struck out 10 in seven innings and Detroit's offence supported him with four homers as the Tigers topped hosts Philadelphia 7-5 in their inter-league matchup on Saturday night.

Skubal (11-3) held the Phillies scoreless in the first six innings before giving up three runs in the seventh. Kyle Finnegan, making his Detroit debut after being acquired from the Nationals, got the last four outs for his 21st save this season as the Tigers won for the fifth time in six games.
Javier Baez led the offence with a two-run homer and a two-run triple. Colt Keith, Kerry Carpenter and Gleyber Torres accounted for the other three runs with solo homers.
