Murdered model 'not abducted'

The Thai Immigration Bureau (IB) has denied media reports that a Belarusian model was abducted in Thailand before being murdered in Myanmar, saying she was seen travelling on her own with no signs of being taken anywhere forcibly or by escort.
The clarification followed news reports related to a 26-year-old Belarusian woman, identified as Vera Kravtsova.
Various local and international news outlets reported that Kravtsova arrived in Bangkok in September to take up a modelling gig in the country, before being lured to work as a scammer in Myanmar. She was later killed and her body dismembered as part of a human organ-trading operation.
