Deficit drop predicated in budget

The cabinet has endorsed the budget framework for fiscal 2027, with total expenditures of 3.78 trillion baht and a deficit of 788 billion baht, and net state revenue estimated at 3 trillion baht.
The fiscal year 2027 will begin on Oct 1, 2026 and end on Sept 30, 2027. In comparison, fiscal 2026 (starting Oct 1, 2025 and ending Sept 30, 2026) budget carries a deficit of 860 billion baht, while the fiscal 2025 budget recorded a slightly higher deficit of 865 billion baht.
