Connan Mockasin returns to Bangkok for special solo gig
Bangkok Post
|September 29, 2025
Concert promoters HAVE YOU HEARD? invite Bangkok audiences to step into the dreamlike world of Connan Mockasin this October, when the New Zealand singer, songwriter and producer returns for an intimate evening designed to linger in both memory and imagination.
-
"Connan Mockasin: A Special Solo Performance" will be held on Oct 23 at Black Cabin, a venue known for its dimly glowing atmosphere and attentive audiences. This rare event offers a chance to experience Connan's artistry stripped bare, revealing the playful strangeness and emotional undercurrents that define his sound.
It has been over six years since Connan last performed in Bangkok - his only previous appearance here was in 2019 - and anticipation has been quietly building ever since. This time, the performance will be more personal than ever - just Connan and his guitar, delivering new material alongside songs that span his career. Without the cushion of a full band, the focus shifts to the delicate details - his elastic falsetto, his unusual guitar voicings and the way his songs glide between dreamy tenderness and sly humour.
