Cambodian soldiers treated well, RTA says

>>The Royal Thai Army denies Cambodian allegations that Cambodian soldiers detained by Thai authorities were mistreated, saying the RTA has followed international law governing the soldiers' detention.

The accusations were unsubstantiated and part of a disinformation effort by the Cambodian side, Maj Gen Winthai Suvaree, the army spokesman, said yesterday.

Maj Gen Winthai said although the Cambodian soldiers were found on Thai territory after a ceasefire had been declared, the situation along the border remained unstable and the armed conflict had not formally concluded.
