Bangkok United kick-started their AFC Champions League Two Group G campaign with a 4-2 victory over 10-man Selangor at MBP] Stadium in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, on Thursday night.
Totchtawan Sripan’s side led 3-1 at halftime but had to weather heavy pressure from the Malaysian side in the second half before securing all three points.
The Angels took the lead in the 11th minute when Muhsen Al Ghassani threaded the ball through for Ilias Alhaft, who rode the challenge from Mohammad Abualnadi then saw his first attempt blocked by Kalamulah Al Hafiz but made no mistake with the rebound.
