Call for action on influencers

Frank McNally MP has called for urgent action to tackle the harmful impact of online influencers on children and young people.

Speaking in the House of Commons last week, the Coatbridge and Bellshill MP pressed the Secretary of State on what steps are being taken to prevent social media algorithms from promoting dangerous and misogynistic content.

Commenting after the exchange, Mr McNally said: “Parents across our communities are rightly concerned about the kind of content their children are exposed to online.
