Vidyapith to kindle self-reliance spirit in school kids

Its 6-day Swavlamban yatra will focus on Class9-12 students in over 10k schools

Gujarat Vidyapith is all set to begin its six-day-long Swavlamban Yatra, as part of its Gandhi Gramjivan Padyatra, to sensitise Class 9-12 students in over 10,000 schools about the importance of swavlamban (self-reliance).

The yatra, a tradition of the institute that is more than 15 years old, is usually carried out to sensitise villagers about various progressive and helpful measures offered by the institute. This year’s yatra, from November 10, includes a day of padyatra and is expected to reach an estimated 50 lakh students in 17 municipal corporation areas in 34 districts of Gujarat.
