Six Held for Forcing Woman into Sex Work

Porbandar woman allegedly promised job in Ahmedabad; police rescue her in nick of time

The Nikol Police have registered a case against six people for allegedly forcing a 24-year-old woman from Porbandar into sex work. The accused lured the mother of two to Ahmedabad with a job opportunity.

The victim, identified as Rekha (name changed), is a resident of Porbandar and lives with her five-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter. Six months ago, she befriended a woman named Meena from Kutiyana through Instagram.

A few days ago, Meena told Rekha about a bank job that her friend Rajdeepsinh Jadeja, a resident of Rajkot, had arranged.
