Officers told to conduct regular inspections; Odhav contractor under scanner after video goes viral
After a controversy over tyres and mattresses being used on a funeral pyre at the Odhav municipal crematorium, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has introduced a three-level monitoring system for all crematoriums across the city.
The municipal commissioner has instructed the additional health officer and all zonal deputy health officers to do regular rounds and ensure proper supervision.
