Gujarat delegation to visit London next week to push for Games bid

A high-level delegation from the Gujarat government will travel to London next week to engage with the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) as part of efforts to secure Ahmedabad's bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games. This initiative aligns with the state's broader vision of positioning Ahmedabad as a host city for the 2036 Olympics, with the Commonwealth Games serving as a strategic precursor.

A letter of interest affirming Ahmedabad's readiness to host the Games was submitted on March 13 by PT Usha, president of Commonwealth Games Association of India.
