City gets brief relief as mercury dips to 39.4°C

After several days of intense heat, with temperatures hovering between 42°C and 44°C, the city saw a slight dip on Monday.

The maximum temperature settled at 39.4°C, which is 2.3°C below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin.
