A THEATRE group has announced its upcoming production of Jim Cartwright’s award-winning play, Road.

Oswaldtwistle Players are set to perform it at ReAct Studios, Church, from October 22-25 at 7.30pm.

Founded over half a century ago, the society has been a vibrant part of Oswaldtwistle’s cultural fabric, now eagerly looking ahead to a momentous 60th birthday celebration in 2027.

Having performed for many years at The Civic Theatre, Oswaldtwistle, they faced significant challenges when the venue closed its doors in 2023.

Despite this setback, their commitment to local theatre has never wavered; they have successfully produced two shows since, and Road will mark their third, and their second at their new home, ReAct Studios.
