A CRACKDOWN on knife crime is taking place with police urging people to hand in knives.
Hyndburn Police led a 10-mile walk with youngsters and mentors which started at Accrington Stanley FC and finished at the ‘Knife Bench’ at Blackburn Cathedral.
Last week was the start of Operation Sceptre, a national knife crime awareness week, with knife bins located at police stations across the county where weapons can be safely handed in.
