The winger’s in fine form as part of one of England’s most electric back-three combinations, scoring his 11th try of the season at Newcastle last weekend and hoping his efforts will help Sharks make the play-offs for the third time in four seasons.
Just 23 years old, Roebuck’s quickly become a fan favourite at Sharks and celebrated re-signing a multi-year deal recently by scoring a hat-trick against Exeter – and opposite England’s chosen man Immanuel Feyi-Waboso – to remind Steve Borthwick that he’s gunning for that elusive first cap.
But having hit some of his personal goals already this season, the Cheshire lad’s keeping his feet firmly on the ground, and told The Rugby Paper: “Things are ticking along nicely, I got that call up into the Six Nations squad which was massive for me.
“I felt really privileged to be there, in and around the squad, obviously I didn’t play but just to be in the set-up was massive for me.
“When you’re there you are learning off the best players and the best coaches. That’s what I asked from myself at the start of the season and I’ve just got to keep driving that on, keep pushing and doing what is in my own control. Then who knows where it will go, we’ve all got one eye on where we want to be in the summer.”
