David: I'm loving the freedom I get here

NICK David is revelling in the freedom given to players at Harlequins and is in contention for a place in the England A squad for next month's clash against Portugal.

Quins went into last night's match against Leicester on the back of four straight victories.

They were all secured with a try bonus point and David, playing on the wing, harvested five tries.

"The reason I came to Harlequins was the li cence players are given to have freedom and express ourselves," said David, who arrived three years ago from Worcester.

"It has been really enjoyable from my first game to now. I am just happy to be involved. We have great depth in the back three and what I pride myself on is my versatility.

I can play both full-back and wing, although I see myself as a full-back who can play on the wing. I am just happy to be involved and I love it here."

David has only missed one league and Champions Cup match this season. He started the campaign at full-back, moving to the wing when Tyrone Green returned from injury.
