A LIONS PATH TO THE PREM!
The Non-League Football Paper
|May 19, 2024
ALEX SCOTT hopes more Channel Islanders can follow his path into professional football as he continues to follow his "impossible" dream at Premier League Bournemouth.

The midfielder signed for the Cherries for £25m last summer following three years at Bristol City after starring for Guernsey in the Isthmian League, where he caught the eye of pro clubs.
The 20-year-old may be a Premier League star now but he believes it was his time with the Green Lions at Step 4 which made him the player he is today.
Speaking The NLP, exclusively to Guernsey-born Scott who has made 25 appearances in his first season at the Vitality Stadium, scoring two goals says he benefitted from his education on the island, particularly under the wing of Green Lions record goal scorer Ross Allen, who also coaches for the Guernsey FA.
"I loved it there, it helped me massively," he said. "Especially going into Bristol City so young, I was in the first team at 17 when I broke through.
"Being in the Guernsey side at 16, in that men's environment, going away every other weekend, being part of the lads, that was massive and definitely helped me at Bristol City.
