The International Society for Krishna Consciousnes (ISKCON) has been tasked with the 'Sewa' at Jagannath Dham, Digha. This entails all prayer services as well as prasadam. An operational overview
-
As Jagannath Dham in Digha opened its doors to devotees on April 30, 2025, reports of its awe-inspiring magnificence spread fast. As did word of its bhakti-evoking puja practices, heartfelt rituals, and selfless 'sewa'. And the organisation that has operationalised all this is ISKCON.
Sewa in Numbers
A total of approximately 100 devotees are engaged in daily services at ISKCON Jagannath Dham, Digha. While thirty three resident devotees have dedicated themselves to full-time service, they are supported by around 70 local volunteers who join according to a roster and assist with different forms of sewa (services) throughout the day.
The 33 resident monks stay within the temple complex, housed in 10 ashram rooms located on the first floor of the administrative building.
The arrangement ensures round-the-clock presence of dedicated sevaks in the temple premises.
