Nadia Lim is No 1 with homestead recipes but other Kiwis are tickling tastebuds.

Taste of success

This year's undisputed cookbook queen is Nadia Lim. Nadia's Farm Kitchen has sold at least 7600 copies since the start of October, according to NielsenIQ BookScan.

Lim's latest cookbook, shrewdly published by Lim's own imprint, offers not only 70-plus tantalising recipes such as lamb ragu gnocchi with gremolata, halloumi with warm honey and grapes, and barley, kale and ham hock soup, but also a taste of the farming lifestyle experienced by Lim and her family.

imageIn 2019, they decamped from Auckland to Royalburn Station, a 485ha property located between Arrowtown and Cardrona: "Where food is real, the stories are personal and every recipe begins with what's growing around us," Lim promises.
