The rainy season is here, and so are the mosquitoes and the fear of dengue fever.

The seasonal ailment has been flagged by the WHO as one of the top 10 global health threats. The fever usually lasts a week or so, and symptoms include rashes, body ache and nausea. The point of concern is that, in rare cases, there is a risk of complications developing that could result in internal haemorrhaging (in severe cases, even death).
