EDINBURGH is just over an hour from our home by train, so my husband and I visit often.
Dom knows the city's eateries well, but today we were going somewhere new - a brasserie-style bar and restaurant in the affluent Stockbridge area to enjoy a Sunday roast.
We walked to The Captain Darling from the station, which was downhill the entire way - walking back up the hill after a three-course meal was another story!
For fans of Blackadder, the name might conjure up images of actor Tim McInnerny's role in the popular comedy's final season, Blackadder Goes Forth. I was surprised to learn, however, that the real story behind the name is somewhat different - it is named for an Australian cricket captain!
