Pursed lips. Stern faces. Him striding ahead without so much as a second look back at her. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones might be one of Hollywood’s last true power couples, but they hardly looked like the picture-perfect pair during a recent lunch outing in sunny Montecito.

“Something just seemed off,” one onlooker noted as Michael and Catherine made their way into a restaurant. “They usually aren’t afraid to show some PDA, but this time it was the complete opposite.”

New Idea’s Tinseltown insiders wonder if there might be lingering tension in the air. Michael, 79, and Catherine, 54, have reportedly been butting heads of late, over his upcoming work schedule.
