Bring Gus home: 'WE WON'T EVER GIVE UP HOPE'

As four-year-old Augustus 'Gus' Lamont scampered around his grandparents' Oak Park Station homestead on a sheep property 40km south of Yunta, in eastern South Australia, the shy but adventurous boy didn’t have a care in the world.

At 5pm on Saturday, September 27, as Gus explored the big backyard that he knew like the back of his little hands, his grandmother saw him playing on a mound of dirt. Left alone for just 30 minutes, at 5.30pm when she called him to come inside, Gus was nowhere to be seen.

For three hours, Gus' family frantically searched for him, before authorities were called. He was last seen wearing a wide-brimmed grey sun hat, a cobalt blue long-sleeved shirt with a yellow Minion character on the front, light grey pants and boots.
