LIKE MANY LUCKY couples, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall went to Paris this summer.
Theirs, however, was a business trip: They're athletes who were competing in the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, respectively. In August, Tara won Olympic gold in the long jump. Hunter, a Paralympic sprinter, cheered her on wearing his "Team Tara" T-shirt; his weepy enthusiasm delivered one of the Games' signature viral moments.
The next month Tara watched Hunter mount a comeback victory in his 400-meter T62 race. Then husband and wife headed home, their lives forever changed.
