Its latest Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945 timepiece exemplifies that. Naturally, with a timepiece that requires such incredible handwork, it’s limited to five pieces. But to own such a watch is to witness the beauty of the galaxy somehow magically replicated on your wrist.
Artisans in Jaeger-LeCoultre's Métiers Rares atelier used enamelling to replicate the constellations in the Northern hemisphere. Then, the maison added a filigreed Atomium golden-coloured lattice structure just below the sky chart to evoke the stars. In total, 117 interconnected spheres mimic the building blocks of the universe. For the latest iteration, the watchmaker has shrunk the sky chart slightly so that the Atomium structure can stand out more.
