AUGUSTMAN takes a final look at the details of one of Kim Jones's final collections for Dior.

IT'S FITTING THAT the phrase “The devil is in the detail”, likely first cited by German philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, has become a more popular phrase than its holy counterpart, “God is in the details”, attributed to another German, architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Both relate to the success or failure of a task.

But while van der Rohe attributes success to a higher power, Nietzsche believes that a grand plan can be dismantled by a tiny flaw.
