Jaywalking is an Indian streetwear brand that has grown organically into an Indie icon of hype culture, with a definitive coolness factor. Its third store in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, is spread over 1500 sq.ft and is a space that oozes urban chic, in a very youthful way. With gender-fluid, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and custom made clothing, the brand is a reflection of its founder Jay Jajal’s signature style, who says, “Jaywalking is dangerous. It is for the people who aren’t scared to cross the line and prove a point. It is for the people who believe in art and culture.” With this in mind, the new Jaywalking store has been designed in collaboration by Shiraz Jamali Architects and FN Design Studio, under the collective vision of architects Shiraz Jamali, Mammen Paul, Farheen Nanji, and interior designer Naazish Nanji.
