It has all the fun and flair of a boutique hotel, but this Florida beach house is one family's permanent home.

"IT'S COOL-GIRL BEACH."

That’s how Lindsay Rhodes describes the family home she designed in Florida’s buzzy Scenic Highway 30A Corridor of coastline communities. Rhodes had known the clients, who were from her hometown of Nashville, for about 20 years. The couple moved to Florida to start Frankie’s Bike Shop—named for their young daughter—and when it became time to build their forever home, they knew Rhodes was just the person to bring their good-vibes-only philosophy to life.

“They’re just fun, happy people, and they wanted the house to reflect that,” Rhodes says. The aesthetic they sought was “old-school Florida condo—rattan and seashells—but fresh and updated,” Rhodes explains. To that end, she stayed true to a tight color palette inspired by the shore, and layered in fun pieces such as elephant side tables and coconut lamps that she found at local antiques stores.
