WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO THIS PROJECT? The property, a Victorian townhouse, had great proportions, lots of light and a generously sized garden. Rare for London! It was a blank canvas. It had been gutted, but little had been decided about the layout, aside from the basement kitchen and extension.

WHAT WERE THE CLIENT'S MAIN PRIORITIES? The client, a 26-year-old art dealer, was looking for a space that could evolve with her. She intended to stay in the house long-term and envisioned it growing with her lifestyle. We focused on creating a flexible space that would function both for socialising and, eventually, for family life.
