HOW DID YOU COME TO BE INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT? Corbie Phillips: Louise Gomm and I had worked together on the design of our clients' London home so, four years ago, when they came to designing the interior of their new build island beach home in Charleston, they entrusted us with creating a scheme that would suit them.

WHAT WERE THE BIGGEST PRIORITIES FOR THE HOMEOWNER? They wanted a comfortable home where their three sons could visit and everyone could enjoy family time together. It had to be robust enough to work for beach life with grandchildren, but also elegant for more formal entertaining.
