ELLE: What are some notable trends you’ve observed in India’s demand for premium fashion products over the past few years?
Saurabh Srivastava (SS): There has been a surge in the demand for premium fashion products primarily driven by the expanding middle class, which now boasts higher disposable incomes, fostering a penchant for aspirational and luxury purchases. Moreover, the growing inclination towards online shopping has increased demand. Today's consumers place significant value on the convenience offered by marketplaces.
At Amazon Fashion, we continue to witness a discernible trend towards premiumisation and it is particularly pronounced in watches, luggage, shoes, and beauty categories.
