Since childhood, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) has coped with his murderous urges by sticking toa 'code', as we learnt when we first met him in the US drama series Dexter (2006-13).

Dexter has had a desire for killing since he was a boy, but the 'code' created by adoptive dad Harry (James Remar) meant he only targeted other killers who had escaped justice, with his day job as a police forensics expert helping him to leave each crime scene spotless.
