MARY-LOUISE PARKER, JOE FREEMAN and BEN BARNES on starring in a Stephen King chiller

The secrets WITHIN

Imprisoned children, terrifying experiments and one plucky teen determined to fight back. Welcome to The Institute, an eight-episode adaptation of American author Stephen King's acclaimed 2019 sci-fi-horror novel of the same name, which lands on MGM+ this week.

But Luke soon discovers the kids are being subjected to cruel, twisted tests overseen by the unnervingly composed Ms Sigsby (Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker), who claims their suffering is for a higher purpose. Can Luke free his new friends from torture before they're pushed into the dreaded 'Back Half' of The Institute?

The plot also follows disgraced former police officer Tim Jamieson (Shadow and Bone's Ben Barnes), who starts a new life in a nearby town. His job is to keep the peace, until whispers of missing children pull him into a dangerous mystery, causing his world to collide with Luke's.

Here, in exclusive interviews, actors Mary-Louise, Joe and Ben tell TV Times about stepping into this spine-chilling story...
