Dame Mary Berry is hoping to serve up the magic of the season in her new Yuletide culinary showcase for BBC1.
A Mary Berry Christmas sees the queen of cakes team up with three celebrities – presenter Zoe Ball, actor Alison Steadman and Gladiators favourite Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, AKA Nitro – to sample the nostalgic customs that help make festivities go with a swing.
‘I’ve had fun this year cooking for my 90th-birthday series [recent BBC2 six-parter Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking], and this Christmas special is the icing on the cake,’ smiles the star, who reached her milestone back in March.
