The New York crime-solvers take on the Mob as the comedy drama returns

After forays into the worlds of Broadway and Tinseltown, the latest run of Disney+'s comic whodunnit Only Murders in the Building finds the amateur detectives dipping their toes into the milieus of New York mobsters and the city's super-rich.

The fifth 10-part season of the award-winning comedy drama sees the true-crime podcasters – shrewd artist Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), nervy actor Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) and highly strung director Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) – back on the case as they investigate the demise of Lester (Teddy Coluca), the veteran doorman at their Manhattan apartment complex The Arconia.

Lester was found lying in a bloody fountain following Oliver's wedding to actor Loretta (Meryl Streep) in the finale of the last run.

However, while the police think it was an accident, Mabel, Charles and Oliver suspect foul play and, with the help of their quirky, animal-loving neighbour Howard Morris (Michael Cyril Creighton), they try to unravel the mystery.
