Rose Ayling-Ellis goes undercover in a dangerous police investigation

After her acclaimed performance in BBC1 thriller Reunion, former EastEnders actor Rose Ayling-Ellis takes the lead role in ITV1's six-part crime drama Code of Silence as a lip-reader who puts herself in harm's way while helping the police.

Working in the canteen at a Canterbury police station, cash-strapped Alison Brooks (Ayling-Ellis) dreams of a more interesting life and is tired of being underestimated because she is deaf. However, an opportunity to prove herself arrives when DS Ashleigh Francis (Ghosts' Charlotte Ritchie) asks Alison to use her lip-reading skills to assist in an ongoing investigation.
