More than four decades since it last aired, groundbreaking drama series Play for Today is making a triumphant return.

Known for fearless storytelling and championing new talent, the BBC1 anthology ran from 1970 to 1984, delivering unforgettable dramas such as Mike Leigh's Abigail’s Party and Rumpole of the Bailey.

Now, 5 is reviving the landmark series with four new stand-alone plays starting with Never Too Late - a darkly comic, irreverent look at ageing starring Anita Dobson.
