Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan struck gold with the first season of hit drama Landman, set in the ruthless world of the Texan oil industry and featuring an all-star cast led by Billy Bob Thornton as fixer Tommy Norris.

As the show returns this week with a new 10-part run on Paramount+, hard-bitten landman Tommy is faced with a fresh seam of unpredictable challenges. Picking up after the death of his M-Tex Oil boss Monty Miller (played by Jon Hamm), Tommy now finds himself running the company alongside Monty's widow, Cami.

‘Tommy goes from having one job that’s really difficult and a job that’s very dangerous to having two,’ says Thornton. ‘Now he’s an executive, a landman and a family man in the midst of this tornado.’

Tommy is also between a rock and a hard place after powerful cartel kingpin Galino saved his life when he was kidnapped and tortured by a local gang – then proposed they partner up to tap into the region’s multibillion-dollar oil industry.

The new run sees an expanded role for Hollywood A-listers Demi Moore and Andy Garcia as the widowed Cami and crime boss Galino.
