In the six-part series, previously shown on BritBox in 2022, book editor Susan Ryeland (Lesley Manville) is excited to receive the manuscript of Alan Conway’s new novel Magpie Murders, in which his famous fictional detective Atticus Pünd investigates suspected foul play in a sleepy English village.
