THE November OF MY LIFE

Lazing at the foot of November, I witness the falling of flowers, And the leaves fading in colour, Like the declining vision of mine, I am ready to stand firm and face, The fierce foe: the Winter of Life.

The days have begun to shorten, Making room for longer nights, The birds have started to land, Settling in their cozy shelters, Oh! Turning the tumultuous minds, Of the days from bad to better.

Resting under the gentle sun, I gaze at the clear blue sky, With occasional smog in the air, When the winds are less chilly, And the rains have bid adieu, I am ready to hug the chills.
