Katie Gaudreau’s hockey star brothers Johnny and Matthew died one day before her wedding. Now, nearly a year later, she and Devin Joyce finally tie the knot

As Katie Gaudreau married her high school sweetheart Devin Joyce on July 11—nearly a year after the deaths of her brothers, NHL star Johnny and hockey coach Matthew—she felt her siblings “celebrating right alongside us,” she says. Their presence was in many of the details, from Katie’s bouquet of 21 standard roses and 13 spray rose blooms to represent their jersey numbers to Devin’s suit jacket lined with their photos. But they were present most of all in the family and friends who surrounded the couple on their big day.

At St. Mary's, Katie wore a strapless Martina Liana gown with floral lace accents.
