Record-setting temperatures took over New York City as Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey set out to promote Jurassic World Rebirth. Was it a natural heat wave or the new friends’ red-hot charisma that sent the mercury soaring? Either way, the costars are accustomed to the heat after filming the dinosaur adventure movie (in theaters now) in scorching spots like Thailand. “It’s sizzling out there. But we had training. This is our moment,” jokes Bailey, 37. The U.K.-born Bridgerton and Wicked star plays Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist on a dangerous mission with Johansson’s covert operative Zora Bennett. “That’s right,” quips N.Y.C. native Johansson, 40, in response. “It was all for the press tour.” The pair chilled out during a lively chat with People.

How did you two hit it off after you met?
