DEREK HOUGH & HAYLEY ERBERT: Their Regal & Rustic Dream Wedding

SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS, FAMILY AND A FOREST OF ANCIENT REDWOODS, THE DANCE SUPERSTARS SAY 'I DO'

As dancers, Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are in constant motion-but for their big day the couple chose a place of immense stillness: the Santa Lucia Preserve in Monterey County, Calif. After eight years together, the Dancing With the Stars alums said "I do" on Aug. 26, surrounded by a towering forest of 800-year-old redwood trees. "We were thinking about location and asked ourselves, 'What's important to us?' Nature was the first thing," says Hough, 38. "We got married right in front of this mother tree that's surrounded by all these smaller trees," adds Erbert, 28, who planned the couple's "regal and rustic" nuptials with Troy Williams of Simply Troy. "They drop all the seeds, and it plants an army of children to protect the mother. The symbolism was beautiful. We're here, planting seeds to grow our family."
