Porcha Woodruff's daughters were getting ready for school on Feb. 16 when a loud knock on the front door suddenly interrupted the family's typical morning routine. Woodruff, 32, a licensed aesthetician and nursing student in Detroit, put down the hairbrush she was using to style her 13-year-old daughter Chantell's edges, cracked open the door and was told by a police officer standing outside that she was under arrest for robbery and carjacking. At first Woodruff, who was eight months pregnant with her third child at the time, suspected that Chantell, her daughter, Jamiah, 7, and fiancé, Michael, 45, who was in an upstairs bedroom, were playing a prank on her like the ones they enjoyed watching on YouTube. "Are you kidding? Carjacking?" a bewildered Woodruff asked the group of six officers on her porch. "Do you see that I am eight months pregnant?"
